About Vitro Software
We're an international eHealth company, born in Dublin, with a simple conviction: digital transformation succeeds when it works the way clinicians already do.
Our story
We start life as Sláinte Healthcare — sláinte being the Irish for "health" — with a mission to replace paper processes in hospitals.
Seeing hospitals worldwide struggling to move from paper to electronic records, we launch Vitro — the digital medical record that keeps the record clinicians know.
Our first product, Claimsure, reaches over 90% of Irish hospitals, processing ~€1.8bn in health insurance claims a year. It's sold to Clanwilliam Group so we can focus fully on Vitro.
From offices in Ireland and Australia, Vitro runs in acute hospitals, hospices, mental health services, screening programmes and field clinics across four continents.
What we believe
Every Vitro deployment is co-designed with the people who'll use it. Your content, your care pathways, your business rules, your clinical expertise — digitised, not discarded.
We favour phased "show value, grow value" rollouts over big-bang go-lives. Deployments earn their expansion by demonstrating results on the wards first.
Open, structured, reportable data with no lock-in. The record belongs to the organisation and the patients it serves — we just make it work harder.
Giving back
We're proud to support Operation Smile, the global charity providing free cleft lip and palate surgery. Vitro powers their paperless mission records worldwide — so surgical teams in field clinics get the same quality of record-keeping as a modern hospital, and the charity gains insight across entire patient populations.
Recognition
Our work has been recognised across the technology and healthcare industries — including a place on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, ranking Europe's fastest-growing technology companies.
Careers
We hire people with a passion for healthcare and technology in both Dublin and Sydney. If improving how care is delivered sounds like your kind of work, we'd like to hear from you.
