2017 was an extremely busy year for Vitro. We had significant project go lives with some of our major clients, particularly in Australia. Bendigo’s new 660 bed hospital opened in January 2017 using Vitro as their Digital Medical Record. Our work with the Calvary Health Care Group continues as we develop Apps for additional phases of their ‘end of bed’ suite. The suite initially went live in 2016, in 11 of the group’s hospitals. I am delighted to see that MyNetCare, our collaboration with Calvary, the Hunter Alliance and New South Wales Health, won the Outreach Award from Catholic Health Australia - you can read more later in the newsletter.
In November 2017 we signed a contract with the highly regarded Nairobi Hospital to implement Vitro as their electronic medical record. I had the pleasure of visiting Kenya and spending some time with the team at the Nairobi Hospital and also our partners Savannah Informatics. This is a really exciting development for Vitro and we look forward to the work ahead.
A relatively recent area of focus for us has been in the rare disease ICT space. We feel there is a real opportunity for Vitro to create a positive impact for clinicians, patient organisations, pharmaceutical companies and patients suffering with rare diseases. We signed our first Pharmaceutical client, Biogen, Inc. this year. They require Vitro as part of their tool kit to help complete Phase IV drug trials bringing new treatments to patients.
Our work with SERCO Australia continues as they use Vitro for case management within 11 detainee facilities across Australia. We also continue to work on additional phases with our client SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services Company) in the United Arab Emirates.
On the product development front we have delivered Vitro in HTML5, which enables Vitro to be used across all platforms.
We are looking forward to 2018 and are excited to continue to grow our relationships with you, our clients and partners. From a personal perspective, I would like to thank all of you for your confidence in Vitro and continued support which we appreciate very much. I would also like to thank our own team at Vitro for all their hard work. Lastly I want to say that my door is always open so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Have a wonderful holiday period.
