Following a successful pilot at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, BreastScreen Victoria have now signed to implement Vitro Software’s Digital Medical Record across their entire organisation state wide, moving them one step closer to becoming a fully digitalised organisation.
Vitro has taken the paper forms, records and processes that are used to manage the breast screening assessment process and completely digitalised them in a user-friendly way meeting the needs of the users including radiologists, radiographers, nurse counsellors, data and administrative staff, who were all part of the design and implementation of the project.
Building on the successes of the pilot the expanded system will remove all paper from the assessment process & allow users to access real-time information on client progress within the clinic, reducing the need for repetitive data entry, improving the clinic workflow and, ultimately, reducing the time clients need to spend at assessment.
